Densford was awarded Stage 3, the Cockburn Coast Oval, and Stage 4A of DevelopmentWA’s iconic Cockburn Coast Shoreline. This prime piece of land will hold 36 residential lots, 5 group housing and 2 new parks. Works completed by Densford included earthworks, forward works, retaining walls, underground works, common service installation, pavement and carpark construction, aggregate footpaths, fencing and gate, and significant landscaping. All three awards didn’t come without their challenges. Stage 3 required significant subcontractor management, working within a tight construction program and unknown existing services. Stage 4A required working within the live rail corridor, requiring a Rail Safety Management Plan. The Oval location meant the protection of the heritage listed Robb Road Chimney and heritage listed Moreton Bay Fig tress. Works were completed on time, to budget, and to the satisfaction of the client and relevant stakeholders.
