Water Corporation awarded Densford Civil the WWPS Storage Enhancement Program, stretching across 8 wastewater pumping station sites across Perth Metropolitan. Working with a collaborative approach we completed the installation of additional overflow storage, undertaken utilising RCP and an in-situ reinforced concrete tank for one site in Fremantle. Scope of works included; demolition of existing access chambers and emergency overflow structures, installation of 110 x RC pipes, installation of PVC interconnecting pipework, installation & upgrading MSCL pump station bypasses pipework and associated valve arrangements, construction of 220m3 in-situ reinforced concrete emergency storage tank, and the reinstatement of all sites. Some sites were smaller than others, some were busier than others, and some sites required different intricacies of work. The team managed the works fluently and effectively across the board producing a successful project outcome for Water Corporation and importantly the local community.
